Before placing a call, have as much information as possible such as the nature of the complaint, the street address of the incident, the length of the violation, and if possible, your name and phone number. Get the name of the person you are speaking with so you can follow up if necessary. Please remember that the city employees are not part of the problem but can be part of the solution, so treat them with respect. If someone is not helpful or is rude, you may ask to speak to their supervisor or forward their name to your elected officials. All police phone calls are taped. Please feel to suggest other needed information.
